Job Outfitters
Job Outfitters offers women and men in our community career clothing, hope, and encouragement. The need for this program has become increasingly important during tough economic times. This free service to people in need empowers participants to better their lives. By partnering with Goodwill the broadest variety of employment clothing & services for participants.
How it works: To utilize this program, Monday-Wednesday participants should visit the Goodwill Job Connection from 1:00 - 2:00 pm located at 1731 O Street in downtown Lincoln. Thursday-Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm participants should visit YWCA Lincoln at 1701 S. 17th St Suite 2E Lincoln, NE. Eligible participants will then be issued vouchers that can be utilized at any Goodwill Lincoln location for employment clothing, shoes, belt, and tie. You can also call the YWCA offices at 402-434-3494 for more information regarding the program.

American Job Center offers a variety of ways to help you find and train for jobs. Listed below are a few of their options.
Job Training for Adults: Assistance for low-income adults to identify and finance job training.
Job Training for Dislocated Workers: Assistance for individuals unemployed due to a layoff or business closing to identify and finance job training.
Job Training for Youth (YESS): Assistance for low-income youth to identify and Finance education and job training.
Training for Green Jobs: Assistance to eligible youth and adults to identify and finance training in Green Construction and Energy Efficiency occupations.
Finding A Job: Access to the Nebraska Department of Labor's Job Listings.
Filing for Unemployment: Access to the Nebraska Department of Labor's Unemployment Insurance System

Community Action Partnership
The Employment Readiness Training program is to help unemployed and underemployed individuals find and secure full-time employment. Using individuals' skills as a starting point, they help with resume building, cover letter development, job search skills, and interview skills and etiquette. When necessary, individuals are also referred to our GED Training Program or our Computer Learning Lab to gain the education and skills needed to be ready for employment.

Job Corps
Job Corps is a free education and training program that helps young people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. For eligible young people at least 16 years of age that qualify as low income, Job Corps provides the all-around skills needed to succeed in a career and in life. Offers a stipend bi-weekly for spending money. Room and board provided.
